ボランティアとして、私たちと一緒に世界一周しませんか？
ピースボートでは、船旅に乗船する洋上ボランティアを年中随時募集しています。
現在では、2種類のボランティアを募集しています。
1．通訳ボランティア（日本語・英語・中文・韓国語・スペイン語のうちに二言語もしくはそれ以上）
2．洋上語学教師（英語・スペイン語）
ピースボートの主な活動は、世界を旅する船旅を通じて、平和の文化を築いていくことです。船内、また寄港地で行われるプログラムは、平和、人権、持続可能性、そして環境への尊重といった、ピースボートの活動の柱であるテーマを取り入れています。旅が、平和と持続可能性を達成するためのツールとなるように、活動を続けています。
これまで、数百名に上るボランティアが参加してくれました。大学生からキャリアを積んだ社会人、子育てを終えた方まで、国籍や言語レベルなどの面でも多様な方々が「国際交流の船旅」を支えながら、多くを学び、一生に一度の体験をしてきました。
今回のイベントでは、ピースボートの歩み、そして洋上ボランティアについて、詳しくお話します。実際にボランティアとして行う仕事内容、応募条件、そしてなんといってもボランティアとして皆さんが得られるかけがえのない経験について、お伝えできればと思っています。
また、みなさんが質問できる時間も多く設けていきたいので、イベントの後半には、ボランティアとして過去に参加した方をお招きします！実際の活動や、ピースボートでのボランティア経験がどのように自身の人生に影響を与えたかのか、詳しい話をいろいろ聞けるチャンスです。飲み物とお菓子もご用意しておりますので、ぜひお気軽に交流にお楽しんでください。
ピースボートに興味のある方、地球一周したい方、人生を充実したい方、是非、今回のイベントにお越しください。

Would you like to travel around the world with us as a volunteer?
Every year, Peace Boat recruits volunteers for our global voyages.
There are currently two types of onboard volunteer opportunities:
＊Volunteer Interpreter (Japanese/English/Spanish/Mandarin Chinese/Korean)
＊Onboard Language Teacher (English / Spanish)
Peace Boat carries out its main activities through a chartered passenger ship that travels the world on peace voyages. Our programmes, both on board and in port, explore the main aspects of Peace Boat's activities - peace, human rights, sustainability and respect for the environment - and aim to develop travel as a tool for peace and sustainability.
Up until now, we have had hundreds of volunteers. From university students to people working in big companies or who just finished raising children. Being of various nationalities and speaking different languages, our volunteers make up a diverse group of people which makes volunteering with Peace Boat a unique experience.
At this event, we will give a brief introduction of Peace Boat and we will explain more about the kind of work you can do as a volunteer, the requirements, and more importantly, all the great things about volunteering with Peace Boat.
You will be able to meet previous volunteers and learn more about their experiences on board or on land as well as how their Peace Boat volunteer experience influenced their lives. There will be plenty of chances to ask questions, too! There will be some snacks and beverages as well, so feel free to stick around to chat with staff and past volunteers after the session.
Feel free to come if you are interested in Peace Boat, would like to go on a voyage, or simply are looking for a way to do something meaningful!

Place: Peace Boat Centre Tokyo B1 (Takadanobaba, Shinjuku 3-13-1)
Access: 7 minutes walk from JR/Seibu Shinjuku/Subway Tozai Line, Takadanobaba Station, Waseda Exit.
Participation fee: FREE (There will be alcoholic beverages available for purchase as well.)
