With less than three months to go until the start of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, Rio+20), countries and various stakeholder groups are working feverishly to define the outcomes of such an important meeting to set global agenda for sustainable development. International Environmental Governance (IEG) and Institutional Framework for Sustainable Development (IFSD) form the core of such negotiations and discussions. This seminar will outline some of the experiences from the biodiversity governance agenda for the IEG debate and identify options for learning from experiences on the ground. The Author is currently finalizing a policy document on biodiversity governance which will also be presented.
