ボランティアのマネージメントにおける全ての段階に応じて授業が行われます。団体規約の評価、仕事内容を決定、人材選択、オリエンテーションおよび能力開発、モニタリング、モチベーションの継続、ボランティア・バリューイングシステム、さらには直面する様々な問題点がテーマとして扱われます。授業は、講義、ディスカッションおよびグループワークにおける実践演習から構成されます。ワークショップ修了時に、受講生はボランティアの採用やモチベーションアップにおいて、より具体的なノウハウを習得することができます。様々な経験を持つ方に参加していただけるワークショップです。

講師についてSarajean Rossitto
東京在住のNGOコンサルタントとして、NGOの活動に必要なスキルの開発やNPOのプロジェクト開発などに取り組んでいる。NPOを中心とした日米の人材交流・人材育成を手がける日米コミュニティ・エクスチェンジ（JUCEE）のコーディネーターを4年にわたって務めた後、東京YMCAに6年間勤務。米コロンビア大学で東アジアの人権問題を学び、社会学の学士号と国際関係論の修士号を取得している。

Course Details
In this workshop we will review the whole cycle of volunteer management - needs assessment organizational policy, job description design, recruitment/input, orientation and training, monitoring, motivation and retention as well as the challenges we face. This workshop will include a combination of lecture, discussion and group exercises with the expectation that each person will come out of the workshop with some concrete ideas for how to better recruit, motivate and work with volunteers. Participants with diverse experience and field of work are welcome to join this workshop.
Instructor
Sarajean Rossitto is a Tokyo-based nonprofit NGO consultant focusing on NGO skills development training, nonprofit project development, and social issue publication development. She spent 4 years coordinating bilateral exchange of nonprofit professionals between the US and Japan for Japan-US Community Exchange (JUCEE). Sarajean also worked for 6 years with the Tokyo YMCA. She holds an undergraduate degree in sociology and a Master's in International Affairs with a Focus on human rights in East Asia from Columbia University.
